World Water Day – March 22, 2025

Today, on Water Day, we highlight the importance of access to clean, safe water for all. As Shingala Azad humanitarianorganization, we have long focused on meeting this basic need for local and displaced communities in Iraq

Over the years, we’ve implemented numerous projects to restore and provide drinking water in areas like Sharfadeen, Feyshabur, Srechka, Sinjar, Daka-Mazn, and beyond. Our work includes:

Renovating water mains

Installing water treatment filters for households and schools

Renovating and constructing new wells

Securing sustainable water sources

With the support of our partner Slovak Catholic Charity and funding from Slovakia’s SlovakAid, we’ve installed many new wells and continue working on more. We are grateful for the ongoing support that helps us assist thousands of people affected by conflict, crises, and climate change.

Thanks to additional funding from the Bishops’ Conference of Slovakia (KBS) and, in 2025, the Czech Development Agency (Czech Aid), we’re advancing projects that secure water resources for the future.
