The lack of rainfall in Iraq is a significant issue with serious consequences for the environment, agriculture, water resources, and the overall standard of living of the population. This challenge is driven not only by natural climatic factors but also by human activities and climate change.
Since 2016, we have been working on this issue in collaboration with our partners from the Slovak Republic. Currently, in partnership with the Slovak Catholic Charity and with financialĀ support from the Bishops’ Conference of Slovakia, we have launched a new project: Securing Water Sources for Local and IDP Communities in the Village of Bersavy. Through this initiative, we aim to ensure sustainable access to water sources.
