When drilling a well, it is important to explore the surface soil layers. This is what our workers do when drilling wells in the villages of Darkar and Dogat. Thanks to financial support from Slovakia’s Official Development Assistance program, SlovakAid and our partner Slovak Catholic Charities (CaritasSlovakia).
Surface soil layers can contain various contaminants and substances and exploration of these layers can reduce risk factors for water contamination in the water well. Since different soil types have different permeability and filtration capacity, studying the surface layers can help determine the composition of the soil and predict its behaviour when water passes through it. Therefore, studying the surface layers of well soils can help ensure a safe and efficient drilling process and protect groundwater quality.
