We, the Shingala Azad Organization, are pleased to thank those who attended the ceremonies marking the handover of two newly drilled potable water wells to the governmental sector.
Recognition and gratitude go to the delegation from Slovakia, which comprises representatives from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, a representative from the Slovak Embassy in Beirut with responsibility for Iraq, and Caritas Slovakia. Thanks also go to the local authorities, mayors and villagers who attended this special event.
Darkar and Doghat wells have been successfully implemented by our organization in two distinct regions of Kurdistan: one in Darkar village, Zakho, and another in Doghat village, within the sub-district of Alqosh. Your esteemed presence at these ceremonies was highly valued and greatly appreciated.
It is important to note that the aforementioned project, titled “Supporting the Development of Darkar and Doghat Villages Through the Provision of Sustainable Sources of Drinking Water and Training,” was generously funded by the Slovak Republic’s Official Development Assistance (SlovakAid). The project was carried out by the Shingala Azad Organization in collaboration with Caritas Slovakia between October 2023 and September 2024.
Most importantly, we are happy that the beneficiaries no longer suffer from water scarcity, enabling them to focus on agricultural and breeding activities.
