By securing water sources, we ensure the continued functioning of life in the landscape.
An essential factor for human life, which people have been aware of since ancient times, is and has been water, which is why people have always stayed close to bodies of water and sources. The oldest civilizations functioned exclusively. The natural sources of water, such as rivers or other natural reservoirs are significant. Unfortunately, nowadays we don’t realize how much important water is for us. The technical conveniences are very developed and appreciated. Water is the basis of life not only for humans, but also for animals.
Due to climate warming and a large decrease in rainfall, the water on the ground is decreasing, and the inhabitants of Iraq have already started to feel it, where it has been raining for a few years at a minimum. Natural resources are gradually drying up, people often have poor or minimal access to water. Thanks to our well projects, of which we have already implemented 17 artesian potable water wells in different areas. Many thanks go to the financial support of the project from the SlovakAid program of the official development assistance of the Slovak Republic, the financial support of the Bishops’ Conference of Slovakia and our partner Slovak Catholic Charity. Currently, we have launched a new project that will provide new sources of drinking water for local and displaced residents in the villages of Hatarah and Bagera which is being implemented. thanks to the financial support of the project from the SlovakAid program of the official development assistance of the Slovak Republic and our partner Slovak Catholic Charity.
