Why does our organization, together with our partners, focus on securing drinking water sources? Water is one of the earth’s most valuable resources and is essential for human life. Access to the qualified drinking water is a fundamental human right and a basic precondition for sustainable development, it also leads to the elimination of gender inequality and poverty. Therefore, access to qualified drinking water and sanitation should be a matter of course, but this is not the case in many parts of the world and in the Republic of Iraq and the autonomous part, Kurdistan region. The big problem is the lack of drinking water, but often also utility water, a person survives without water for only a few days and at such high temperatures, which are often even lower in this area. Thanks to our partners namely the Conference of Bishops of Slovakia and the Slovak Catholic Charity. we have already dug and built 15 wells and thus provided many local and displaced residents with sources of drinking water. Thank you very much for your support.
