Residents of the village of Avzeryke are delighted with the water filters that we can provide them. Thanks to the financial support of the Conference of Bishops of Slovakia and Caritas Slovakia – Slovak Catholic Charity. The whole village faced problems with a lack of potable water. While in the countries of the European Union water is usually available from the tap, in this area it is an exception. The water here is often polluted. Local water contains substances that make it impossible to drink it, and their long-term consumption leads to health problems, especially for children and the elderly it causes severe diseases. A suitable solution that helped the local people was water filtration, which treats the water with a designed filter unit to meet hygiene standards.
